«Red Umbrella Film Festival 2025»

Red Umbrella Film Festival is Ireland’s sex worker film festival, organised by Red Umbrella Éireann, a collective of current and former sex workers campaigning for decriminalisation. Together and in solidarity with sex worker movements everywhere, we fght for our safety, self-determination, and the resources we need to survive.

The first festival edition took place two years ago, and this year, we’re returning to centre and celebrate sex workers’ lives for four days in venues across Dublin. This time, we have films from Mexico, Myanmar, Uruguay, South Africa, France, and many other places. There’s a creative writing workshop, boxing for beginners, a BDSM workshop, sex worker brunch, panel discussions on care, resistance, and organising, and an after party featuring stripper bingo, performances, DJs, and a sex worker fashion show. It’ll be one to remember.

There are two ticket tiers: general, and a solidarity tier for those who have the cash and wish to show support by paying a little more. We have stipends available for sex workers and will not turn anyone away for lack of funds. Any proceeds from the festival after cost will go towards our campaign for decriminalisation.
