Never forget this: The forces rigging our economy, undermining our democracy, polluting our planet, and stoking hatred are counting on you to give up. Cynicism is how they win. Stay clear-eyed and ready for the fight ahead.

Or is it the other way round?

Do either of them have any real claim to being "useful"?

Tax Haven Tice has hinted that he would like to become Chancellor if Reform were in government.

It would be like Liz Truss on… well, whatever it is Liz Truss is on.

Complexity is what biology & economics have in common.
In both cases, people try to classify continuous variables into discrete groups & describe simple mechanisms for complex processes.
And then wonder why there are always exceptions...

The #FinancialSector, a threat to the security of us all.

And I would add to this their oligopolistic control over the #FoodSystem, from seed to takeaway

Usually, yes, they would. Particularly if that were part of their defence, for example, that they or their family had been threatened and this was the only way to protect themselves.

“I’m old enough to remember when mainstream British politicians, who should know better, stirred up racial hatred as a path to power. You’re old enough to remember too because it was last Tuesday. And it was Robert Jenrick”

Cathartic anger at flag-flying racism.

3 years ago today, I signed 3000 copies of my first book.

I'd been a bored software guy for 32 years, and never dreamed something like this would happen.

I owe so much to @johnmitchinson.bsky.social for taking a chance on me, and to all my followers for turning The Week In Tory into a phenomenon.

When he was prime minister, Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson issued his version of the ministerial code.

It included the very rules he has now been found to have repeatedly breached……no shock there then!

I hope I won't be arrested for asking this question.

If we have peace in Gaza, and there are no hostages, and the UK recognises a Palestinian state, and we all support free speech ... will it still be illegal to use your free speech to ask for action for Palestine?

Can we actually train ourselves to be more open-minded and harder to fool?

New research says yes. A short message warning us about closed-mindedness made people better at spotting misinformation, less likely to believe conspiracy theories, and more thoughtful about what they shared #MisinfoResearch

Reform UK’s Nathan Gill met with EU President Tajani to lobby him based on Russian Bribes.

Even then, Nigel Farage didn’t bat an eyelid.

Remarkable video. He had never shown an interest in free speech related to Ukrainian TV channels before.
