At this very moment both the BBC News and Sky News channels are yet again showing a live speech by Nigel Farage. When will they start showing every speech by @zackpolanski.bsky.social and @eddavey.libdems.org.uk live as well?

You could say "You couldn't make it up".
But instead you should be saying
"You really shouldn't make it up"...
Especially when you're facing @danneidle.bsky.social in court.
Classic.
The barrister Setu Kamal sued @danneidle.bsky.social for £8m for defamation. Representing himself in court, Kamal cited three cases that made Neidle’s case “untenable”.

But, in a bizarre twist, it turned out that these cases were hallucinated by ChatGPT:

Fake law: Barrister suing Dan Neidle relied on cases from ChatGPT
Demand for £8m supported by fake legal cases generated with AI tools – but that’s not the worst part of this shocking lawsuit

I do not write about things on which advise on as a lawyer, and so if I could write here on tech law issues I would generally make the same points as @heatherburnstech.bsky.social.

See also the @openrightsgroup.org.
And it is for threads like this that you too should follow @heatherburnstech.bsky.social.
I’ve picked up on an interesting vibe lately that pro-OSA and child safety groups are sussing that spending five years trying to rewrite the global internet (≠ platforms), whilst labelling anyone who criticised them pro-child abuse shills for Big Tech, achieved nothing.

What goes around, comes around:
When the tories brought in voter id in the UK, they lost a lot of votes because so many of their voters didn't have ID...
Just sayin'...
Republicans are finding out if they pass the Save Act it will disproportionately reduce voters in Red States as they have the lowest ownership of Passports and ID’s 😏🤣

This is a circus 🎪 🤭

Still huge questions to answer about Labour Together smearing journalists and sources

As I revealed yesterday, senior Labour insiders knew - and person who commissioned it, Josh Simons, now a Starmer minister….

The key thing about this story isn’t actually what the PR firm did - awful as it is - it’s that the journalists they smeared *were investigating the undeclared funding that brought Starmer to power*

That’s why Josh Simons commissioned them

To stop reporting on Labour Together breaking election law
Sunday Times splashing today with story about Labour Together paying for a smear campaign against journalists investigating its undeclared funding

Democracy for Sale broke story 10 days ago and we’ve been reporting on it ever since😊

Now we need proper accountability!

Note how he's not presenting any ideas, nor telling people why they should vote for him.

He's just insulting everyone else.
When I lived in Japan, far-right parties used to drive around blaring out propaganda from loudspeaker vans. People saw them as public nuisances at best, dangerous nutters at worst. Interesting to see Matt Goodwin adopt the same strategy.
