Finished A Playthrough of a Certain Dude’s VRMMO Life. While it did provide some entertainment and laughs, I honestly can’t call this a good show. Not the worst I’ve seen within the parameters of everything I consumed from 2023. But I would take several more seasons of Bofuri over this.

It would be one thing if these UB sets were commander products. Despite its popularity, I understand it’s not everyone’s preferred format. And WotC had been trying to juice up Standard for years, even making the cycles last longer.

In any case, the cadence is definitely off-balance, as you said.

I want to say I’ve seen it often in what little amount of manga I have read. But I also don’t trust my own memory for details such as this. Especially when it’s something that I took in without thinking about it.

It could definitely be genre-specific. I don’t think MS Gundam: the Origin does this.

As interested as I would be in an AC game exploring a post-Civil War US--because I dug AC3 for the most part with it set during the American Revolutionary War--I think releasing a game that features Confederate content in today's tumultuous political climate is ill advised.
