I feel that. We’ve got over an hour ride to Costco, have to bring to coolers etc. then the kitchen turns into a small scale meat packing plant with the vacuum sealer after. 🤢🤦‍♀️ We have no public transport, a car and a more expensive Publix grocery nearby so it makes sense for us.

I’ve seen people mentioning how local news should be out on the ground. Not sure if they are or not but I have seen clips of @donlemonofficial.bsky.social on the ground talking to folks that pass by in Chicago and DC. Thought I’d throw some credit where due.

The SpEd system in this country is set up in a way that families know they're entitled to certain things but also know they have to fight tooth and nail to get what they deserve.

They're tenacious experienced fighters who'll do anything for their kids. These assholes just sucker punched them all.

There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.
