I suppose they thought they would be safe because the taxpayers were paying the bill and not Trump personally.

How little they understood him.
Raise your hand if you’re astonished.

We are looking with lawyers at the propensity of AI to produce dishonest and defamatory statements.
I've just been called a "rape enabler" by the X AI tool Grok. This is a shocking allegation which has totally taken me aback & beyond anything I've ever encountered in normal political discourse. These AI tools are supposed to be there to serve us honestly with facts. Disturbing.

“Tacky” hardly does the over window scroll justice.

And as for the sign!
It’s like they wake up every day and ask themselves “how can we make this place look even cheaper and tackier and less historic?”
Radio 4 discussing the mistaken release of a dangerous criminal who is now on the run.

The host asked repeatedly, “was he an asylum seeker”?

No-one challenged her. Next it will be, “was he Black or Irish or Jewish or Gay”?

Unapologetic racism from the BBC.

What is important is he is dangerous.

Is anyone surprised?

For years the BBC’s coverage of the EU has been too negative.

Between 2001 and 2016, the BBC’s coverage of the EU veered between disinterest and EU-bashing.

Reports about the EU were so negative that Brussels came off worse than Putin.

It's going to be a difficult few days for racists. No sooner do we discover the attacker was a British man called Anthony Williams, we then discover the rail worker hero who almost gave his life to save others is called Samir Zitouni.

We can't wait to hear the hot takes on whether he is British...
New Yorkers really know how to craft an online campaign pitch.

Simple, powerful and clear.

Our own Scottish campaigners could learn from this.
UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 5: Vito Marcantonio

There are many who dismiss our vision for New York as impossible. To them, I say we need look only to our past for proof of how we can shape the future.

Tomorrow is Election Day. And this is the final Until It's Done of our campaign.

1 week ago I was on a ventilator & hooked up to various gubbins & now catheter is out, & I have one less chest drain. Lung not fully inflated yet & big decisions have to be made about my feeding as it is currently going through my nose & possibly permanently so. Hate being on the ward.
This is worth watching.

Note that none of the criticisms of the PIP process voiced here apply to Scotland’s ADP process.

ADP was designed specifically to avoid PIP’s flaws, to support people with disabilities and support their integration in the community.

Canada was also the first Commonwealth/Empire country to declare war on Nazi Germany in support of Britain, several hours before the British themselves.

Another reason to resist the rise of billionaires is the clear damage it wreaks on their mental health. Somewhere during the process of accumulating all that money their brains lose all links with reality.

I’m not convinced that’s a price worth paying for just a bit more cash.
An MP needs to read out this quote in the House of Commons and ask the government why they are still on twitter

Elon Musk, "These lovely small towns in England, Scotland and Ireland, they've been living their lives quietly. They're like hobbits"

"And so one day, 1,000 people show up in your village of 500 and start raping the kids"

"This has now happened, God knows how many times in Britain"

A single paragraph that is likely to make you angry.
He succinctly reminds us that the challenge is not just dealing with the increasingly unlikely survival of the UK but the also the survival of an unequal England where one part of that country feeds on the rest, leaving them criminally under resourced and vulnerable.
