Don't obey.
Stand up to fascists.
Make good trouble.
It's 65 degrees out. The air is crisp, and the weekend is here. For me, that means I've got my Apple Harvest candle going and my vampire reads and drinks at the ready.

I really enjoyed Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil! Vampires of El Norte is still on my list for this month, but I've heard good things. Hard choice!
Do it! Fall is the perfect season for re-reads.
It's always, "I love you."

And never, "'Even if you were sunlight itself, I would still scorch myself to be close to you.'”

This is the playbook, folks.

If you're not paying attention now and doing something about it, then you're going to have to sit down the rest of your life because democracy is being taken away.

Do not be quiet in this moment.

Free speech?
Really?
It cost Jimmy Kimmel his job.

The last political column I was allowed to write in the @washingtonpost.com was a criticism of Obama.

His people took issue with my piece, but we were respectful.

Now he is tweeting in support of me.

This is how free political speech and respect for debate *actually works*.

Or used to work.

No elected official is above our constitutional rights.

The Constitution brought America’s states together into a unified whole that derives its power from the people.

We must call out any action that undermines the principles our founders fought for and protect our democracy.

A coordinated effort to silence critics and free speech.

Must be a coincidence.

Let’s say it plain: the Supreme Court of the United States endorsed racial profiling today.
