I don't know how many times the Pentagon has been exposed for fraud, waste, abuse, lack of accountability. I do remember one audit, several years ago, when they were unable to recall how they'd spent 6 trillion dollars. There have been similar stories all along.

I like the idea of church as a thing that can build community & do good work, a place to gather, but I'm an atheist. I'm an atheist & I'm kind of a dick about it. If there was a god it would have done something by now. There is 0% possibility that a god would hide from us & allow so much suffering.

People will hate me for not wearing yellow. I just know it.

I spent so much time in that Presbyterian church when I was a kid. Sunday school, youth group, "services." My mother was a big shot there. I'm glad they're on the right side. I like the official Presbyterian stance on Israel too.

I moved to Denver in 1992. "Help Wanted" signs everywhere, big "$10,000 Sign-On Bonus!" banners. Rent was cheap, free Denver Nuggets tickets left on the counter at 7-11. Great bands, $3 cover, in beautiful old theatres where you could leave a decent tip once & the bartender would love you forever.

After signing up for self-deportation, Emily and Deybis sold their car and moved to an unfinished basement. But DHS never sent them the promised plane tickets.

Now they worry about surviving winter. Weeks ago, they sold their daughter’s bed to pay rent.

They said the operator gave them an Aug. 1 departure date and told them to expect their plane tickets by email.

Emily and Deybis sold their car and moved with their children to Columbus, Ohio, where Deybis’ nephew let them stay in his unfinished basement apartment until their departure. The plane tickets never came.

Then the nephew was detained in a traffic stop and deported. Panicked, Emily and Deybis said they called the toll-free number again and again, leaving messages that went unanswered. Emily submitted a new application and sent more emails.

How long & how much would it take get PBS (or some other entity) to do a telethon-type thing to raise funds for the victims of trump's Republican death cult? It wouldn't have to be fancy. People telling their stories, politicians & celebrities speaking.

Democrats need to be adding to their list of demands daily. All these firings have to be reversed. I think it would be good strategy to demand more -- it might raise public awareness, if nothing else.

I was surprised that CO Springs airport won't show it. That used to be "conservative paradise," their own words. So conservative that instead of paying someone to empty public trashcans, they got rid of the public trashcans. That still amuses me. Maybe that town is getting better.

Cody Balmer of Penbrook admitted to throwing two molotov cocktails at the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg while Pa. Gov. Josh Shapiro and his family slept inside. Balmer was sentenced Balmer to 25-50 years in prison and ordered him to pay $100,000 in restitution after Balmer pleaded guilty.
