A Democratic Party with a taste for victory would take the appellation up with zest. Too many of them, like the self-styled “New Democrat” caucus, will declare they just want to work in bipartisan fashion to “craft solutions that help the American people” or similar pablum.

Cops wearing riot gear all the time, everywhere is just SO WEIRD. It’s the equivalent of walking around in a wet suit or, like, wearing a football helmet in the supermarket. Outside of an extremely specific context, it’s just a ridiculous outfit.

Now, he could have chosen any number of church-interior images to paste his wojack onto, so he probably did like the flag image specifically. It just doesn’t show a trend by itself. There may be one, though, which would be ironic given the flag has historically been a Mainline thing
