I have a soft spot for the National Indignation Convention — a far-right movement of voluntarily aggrieved white people based in Dallas in the early ‘60s — just because of the hilariously confessional nature of their chosen name.

Cops wearing riot gear all the time, everywhere is just SO WEIRD. It’s the equivalent of walking around in a wet suit or, like, wearing a football helmet in the supermarket. Outside of an extremely specific context, it’s just a ridiculous outfit.
