ICE has been deployed to *provoke* civilians, not to protect them. They want to throw tear gas canisters and get people on the streets riled up, all to create footage for Fox News and Newsmax, et al., that will be used as a pretext for imposing martial law to lower voting rates in Democratic cities.

I like it that indigenous American people/nations did not have domesticated/enslaved animals. From what I’ve read, they were appalled, gobsmacked by cattle, sheep, et al.
After 1700, they captured feral horses escaped from Mexican ranches. That brought on a whole new ball game across the plains.

Thatcher, Reagan, et al were just another symptom of the death throes of late-stage capitalism.
Struggling to stay relevant and quasi-functional.
Fighting hard to keep the biggest pieces of the pie at the expense of others.
Instead, we must share resources and wealth for a better world.

Factory, farming, a.k.a. concentrated animal, feeding operations, CAFOs—crowding pigs indoors to reduce labor and achieve mass production— was probably invented by Brits and Americans in the 1960s and 70s.
Rapidly promoted by agribusiness corps to take over pork production on the poultry model.

Dairy cows are “spent” at about 4 to 5 years of age. Average lifespan 15 or more years.
Sent to slaughter because milk production is past prime.
Their “meat” (muscle tissue) does not look good enough for the supermarket. It gets ground up and sold to fast food chains.
