Not to be hyperbolic but the “BLACKSTAR Symphony” show we saw last night was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen.

It was certainly one of the most moving—“Where Are We Now?” is an all time fave and I was NOT expecting it to be appear on the setlist.

I visited the apartment building ICE raided on Tuesday today. Story to come, but you can walk right in. Half of the apartments have no doors on them. Children's stuff abandoned in some flats. *Citizen* residents told me they were arrested and held for hours in zipties. This is America

Saw THE WAY OF WATER re-release today. Magnificent as always. The new FIRE AND ASH trailer *and* preview scene were both just.. gobsmacking.

Crazy how TWOW has the most inventive and satisfying action that I’ve ever seen, and yet, FAA is so clearly going to eat its lunch.

Black people actually did call all of this, so did Indigenous people. White people just thought we were exaggerating because you were fine with the violence toward communities that you thought wouldn't include you. But the thru line from eugenics, bleach, and Ivermectin to here was incredibly clear

My thesis is that no matter how doomer you were in Nov. 2024, we're probably past your worst-case scenario for the first 9 months of this administration.
