I think so. But I don’t underrate his viciousness

Another example Trump is living in the past. But even I, over here in The Netherlands, know that the Kennedy family disowned RFK Jr. so Trump can’t have missed that
joanlingen.bsky.social
Trump, of course, knows that RFK Jr is a nutcase and absolutely unsuitable for this position. So why did he appoint him? That's what intrigues me most in the insanity of it all. There must be a purpose, it will definitely not make America great, so why?

Great point from @mjtoma.bsky.social: Millions of us absolutely do see what's happening to the USA.

"We are horrified, shocked, enraged, and ashamed. We are acting, in a thousand ways, to oppose it. This cannot, and will not, be how the United States ends."

Memo to Future Historians: This Is Fascism, and Millions of Us See It
From Chicago to Portland, James Comey to Letitia James, and so much else—this is no longer America.

Waarom steunde de VVD die rare antifa motie?

HS Kristi Noem declares antifa to be “just as dangerous” as ISIS, which was killing perceived apostates by the thousands and raping little girls. Stephen Miller, Trump’s deputy chief of staff, rants nightly about armed confrontations that don’t exist.

This guy's name is Barbabella? Curiouser and curiouser...

A man who as a 17 year old told his best friend he no longer wanted to see him because he was of Latin descent has a life-long commitment to racism and is incurable

You’d have a democracy, not an autocracy

Thune: "If the Democrats had won the majority, they probably would've tried to nuke the filibuster. And then you'd have four new senators from Puerto Rico and DC, you'd have a packed Supreme Court, you'd have abortion on demand ... "

Sure. Hitler also wanted to find a peaceful solution when he destroyed my home town (Rotterdam).
It will never cease to amaze me that people permit batshit crazy men like Putin and Trump to lead their countries

And, as he will never say, Poland in 1939 declined to invade the USSR as a German ally. And then the USSR agreed to invade Poland as a German ally. Details in my book "Black Earth"
antongerashchenko.bsky.social
❗️Putin's logic:Poland has provoked Hitler who wanted to find a peaceful solution:

Poland made many mistakes.Germany offered to resolve the issue of Danzig&the Danzig Corridor peacefully. The Polish leadership at the time categorically refused&,in the end, became the first victim of Nazi aggression

You forgot stupid
timothysnyder.bsky.social
Not only is this rude, inappropriate, partisan, costly, and illegal, it reveals the fundamentally anti-American idiocy of this administration’s policy of handing over to China the most important economic sector of the 21st century.

Next move from OMB - canceling $8 billion in clean energy funds. You will note, all of the projects are in states led by Democrats

Well, he’s a slow learner, but in the end he will find out that by his obsessions he destroyed Russia, not Ukraine, and that Europe kept standing firmly behind Ukraine
timothysnyder.bsky.social
When Putin talks to a Russians he consistently says that they invade Ukraine to destroy the state and nation and correct the path of history. NATO and similar framings are just for the useful foreigners.

Pu spells out Ru's imperialist motivations for the war. He calls the conquest a long-held dream and historical destiny.

He beclowns those who insist NATO expansion caused the war. Let's see if anyone from the Mearsheimer fan club admits the claim has been falsified.

Sending billions to Argentina while laying off Americans at home.

Letting Qatar build a base on US soil coz they bribed Trump with a plane and are investing billions in his personal business ventures.

Doesn’t seem like “America First”, does it?

This is good news. It would be even better if Trump wasn't torpedoing the U.S. solar and wind industry and ceding the energy future to China. www.theguardian.com/environment/...
