illinois state police arrested eight additional people at broadview tonight for a total of 15 people arrested today, per an update from cook county sheriff’s office.

Tonight, in Broadview — a suburb outside of Chicago where Illinois state troopers are doing crowd control near the ICE detention center.

I'm at the scene where ICE abducted multiple people from Lincoln and Foster this morning.

A WGN producer was among the people taken, allegedly because she was among a group of bystanders who tried to intervene. ICE agents hit this car while making their getaway.

earlier this morning, cook county sheriff’s deputies kicked me and a couple other reporters who were standing by ourselves off a public sidewalk because it wasn’t “free speech” hours yet or something idk.

Curious if folks are getting the impression that those around them are unaware antifa is not an org? We know this admin is dead set on pretending it is & many media are uncritically perpetuating that. Feels like we’re watching an elite disinfo campaign move in both a rapid and absurdist fashion.

Well that didn’t last long. Protesters have moved onto the west side of 25th, on the same side as the ICE facility.

I count at least 9 vans that appear to be arriving state troopers.

reports of people abducted from back of the yards, cicero, rogers park, hermosa, barrington, batavia, and bridgeview.

feds are out in force in aurora. not sharing video, but residents have likewise turned out in force—and they aren't happy.

Just before 6pm curfew, a bus pulled up to the ICE facility. It appears they pulled the front into their garage to unload whoever is inside.

Of course at the same time, Broadview PD dispersed press from the “free speech zone.”
