When things get overwhelming, disconnect to reconnect: directly connect with people irl or 1 on 1( chat, text, etc especially for my disabled/ chronically ill folks). Honestly it puts a lot in perspective and gets you in touch with humanity. Highly recommend.

That autism is a disease
That we are broken
That we shouldn’t exist

It’s not just wrong - it’s dehumanising

We’re not a problem to be solved.
We’re real, valid humans

Trend I'm seeing resurfacing: doom sayers/ those with lack of hope or even some sort of way to contribute to positive change ( or really unwillingness to) are almost all privileged.
Some y'all have never actually read history & it shows. Self reflect but don't drag us down like you always do.

I hear of different countries with their stories. Omg this is insane. My body could not wait that long. But if we don't fight here across the pond, our conditions will go from bad to worse.

My mobility issues are a great example of NHS gateways and how they leave us waiting and waiting, always worsening…

1. GP appointment - 1 month
2. Referred to physio - 3 months
3. Two physio appts - 4 months
4. Referred to MSK - 9 months
5. Referred for tests - 6 months

2/ Venezuela is a topic that hits home as I have some family there as well as globally. The global climate rips through me as I see the decades of generations surviving things like that only to relive it again. It hurts. But we must be aware how our own stuff influences perspectives.

This year has felt like 9 months of babysitting somebody else’s kid and they’re making you play a boardgame you don’t wanna play and making up the rules so only they can win and also they’re screaming the whole time and their parents aren’t coming home anytime soon and you’re paying them $150 a day
