I'm partially just fearful and trepidatious of the future of the org because of the current administration.

I don't know.
Shit suck right now, and I hate how every aspect of our lives is quickly being enshitified and worsened all because of greed, ego, and hate.

Maybe I'm just becoming "old man shakes fist at cloud", but this is an org I still have an affinity for and believe it has value, despite its many flaws.

I learned valuable skills and it also helped shape many of the morals I have today.

I wish to see that cont. w/ future gens. 7/?

Like the AI Badge, I'll look into the requirements, but w/in the article, it especially seems more geared towards a more military mindset. Again, gross. But I understand.

Overall, I get it. In an ever changing world, you either adapt or die. And these are two vastly important topics. 6/?

Cybersecurity:
And honestly, I feel like this is an aspect within our current education system that has been lacking for some time. I am fortunate that I grew up w/ and continued to maintain a pulse on immerging tech, but today's and future gen don't have that same foresight. 5/?

Regarding the Cybersecurity Badge:
Scouts has always been a fairly hard recruitment tool/entryway for the military. So I'm not too surprised that a lot of talking points are supplied by the military. It still feels very gross though. Yes, being acutely aware of the dangers online is important. 4/?

AI Badge:
Again, I'll have look at the requirements, but I fear that there are still too many bad actors w/in the industry to lead to an actual productive direction for the tech at this moment. It's growing at an exponential rate, w/ a complete disregard of ethics, that it still concern me greatly.

The AI Badge:
I like that w/ the AI badge, it mentions that it does focus on the ethics and deepfake issues of AI. This is a vastly important part of learning AI, imho, as
those aspects are some of my biggest concerns w/ the tech.
