Our E-Portfolio Power workshop is now sold out!

We're excited to hear from our expert speakers Isabelle Courtney and Robert Alfis tomorrow.

Isabelle specialises in CPD, workplace learning, and accreditation. Robert is the Library Development Officer at Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI)
Isabelle Courtney is a librarian & information professional, she specialises in Continuing Professional Development, workplace learning, and accreditation. She previously lectured on the Library Masters Programme at Dublin Business School and is now a training advisor and accreditation assessor with The Menopause Hub, where she leads initiatives to embed CPD accredited courses into workplace learning.

Her work bridges the worlds of librarianship, education, and workplace learning, offering a unique perspective on how ePortfolios can support and evidence professional development. Participants at this event will benefit from her knowledge of CPD frameworks and her passion for empowering professionals to take ownership of their learning journeys.

Robert Alfis is the Library Development Officer at Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI), which provides library access to the Irish Further Education and Training (FET). His role involves creating and developing subject guides and content for the ETBI FET Digital Library website as well as supporting the development of the scholarly open access FET journal and EOLAS, the FET sectoral repository.

Robert previously worked in the libraries of DBS, Dundalk Institute of Technology, and the National College of Ireland (NCI). While in DBS he worked as research librarian, supporting faculty with their research, managing the DBS institutional repository, eSource, and was managing editor of DBS Business Review. He also lectured on the DBS MSc in Information and Library Management, where he taught on the Information Organisation module and provided guest lectures on the topic of ePortfolios.

It has taken us YEARS to be able to do this! Even before Mick & Kevin took over at Chapters, when the Internet was still new & web addresses came in a directory, they talked about being able to trade in via a website … 30 years later I give you …

I've updated my data to see whether they are adopting Threads and/or Bluesky as a microblogging alternative.
