Considering the legal standing of creative commons licenses & copyright, Martin Eve suggests legal protections for academic work are unlikely to be forthcoming.

"xxxxxxx journal is honoured to idolize your valuable article submission"

Surely this is scope for the next big TV talent show

When I left Sheffield Uni a couple of months ago, I had lots and lots of lovely and supportive messages from colleagues and close friends with the lines:

"This will be the making of you"
"You'll never look back"
"You'll fly"
"Our loss will be someone else's gain"

What’s that they say about ‘all work and no play’?

When I worked for Sheffield I never really gave myself the breaks when I needed them, it came at a cost.

Now I am a freelancer I take time out when the sun shines (today) and work when it rains.

So we went to Chatsworth Xmas Market for cheese

How ‘altmetrics’ measure the reach of business school research - interesting to see the FT covering @altmetric.com in this piece.
I have long been an advocate and would say that the potential of altmetrics remains huge.
