it does depend on the magazine/contest. some don’t consider a personal blog or social media as previously published & some do. posting on something like wattpad WOULD typically be considered previously published. i generally play it safe with anything i plan to submit & keep it off the internet.

tbh i’m not really a huge horror movie fan (but there are some i do love!) but their characters have been fun to make as Furbys with Halloween coming up.

here are two i finished in the past week: Billy the puppet from Saw and Beetlejuice AKA Beetlefurb.

a 1998 McFurby toy that has been custom painted to look like Billy the puppet / Jigsaw from Saw. there is a photo filter that makes it look like the photo is from a VHS tape.

the Beetlejuice movie cover’s night sky, moon, and hill remade with Canva clipart, but instead of the house and main characters, there is a 1998 McFurby painted green, black, and off-white to look like Beetlejuice. There is moss attached to his face and ears. The title above says “Beetlefurb”

i just took my phone out of my pants pocket at my work desk & my weed pen came out with it & fell onto the floor & it reminded me of the PWHL game i attended in Detroit where i reached into my jacket pocket for my phone & a tampon came out with it & flew thru the air to land a couple feet away.

one of the fairy dusters at Ren Fest & i shared a moment of “that thing only the two of us just witnessed was weird, right?” & then she gave me a free dusting & i’ve showered twice since then & still have purple glitter on me. (this is not a complaint - i kinda love it tbh.)
