Many moons ago, on a crisp January afternoon - the sky clear, the air chilled - I was unveiled to the world. And then, many hilarious adventures followed! Yay!

Will Fox join OAN as the only media companies surrendering to an insecure loser like Pete Hegseth?

My favourite Monkees track. I could go obscure, for sure, but this one particularly just tickles my fancy.

You're living through one of the biggest technological transformations in world history and it has nothing to do with AI

Grid scale batteries are changing our electricity system. Excellent new visual story on batteries in FT today shows just how far this technology has evolved.

Fasten your seatbelts, this is just the beginning.

No ceasefire is ever a ceasefire when you're dealing with a genocidal occupying state with the support of the world's powers.

If Gail can make us stop and think before we reply to her bait, imagine if we applied this principle to everything else we see on the internet....

Carole Cadwalladr was right and we’d be in a better world if more people had listened.

This tweet has been doing the rounds on Twitter now that Nathan Gill has pleaded guilty.

If only someone had tried to investigate UKIP & Russian interference 🧐

There’s another timeline where the Guardian supported me, doubled down on the investigation & I look 5 years younger ..

If you've never been to Gaza, you won't appreciate what the yellow line means. Basically Israel now holds most of Gaza's small but important agricultural land. Continued Israeli occupation, which I judge the likely outcome, makes Gaza even more unliveable and more dependent on outside goods.

Had a delightful birthday meal for my brother in Wakefield this evening - drove nearby HMP on the way through, was incredibly tempted to pop to Tescos, pick up a box of Celebrations and drop it off at the door as a way of saying 'thanks'...

I endorse this sentiment, I do not necessarily subscribe to it. It's just in my nature, I've spent money on this slice of escapism so I treat it with the relevant respect.

The veneration of Books As Objects misses the point entirely. If you're reading a book, turn the corners down, break the spine, spill soup on it. It's your book, go nuts. A pristine, unread book is a tragedy in a way that a beloved, much-read book that looks like the dog's been at it could never be.

Personally, I think the inflatable frog suits are high level genius:

~ hides identity of wearer
~ acts as half decent protection against rubber bullets/paintball pellets
~ ability to wear some kind of gas mask protection of needed
~ you look like an idiot if you try to arrest an inflatable frog

Y'know, I don't think I've ever seen REDS (I have a mild Jared Leto-shaped aversion to Warren Beatty, there's very few of his films I've watched) - this is not the first time this weekend it's been highlighted, going to have to check it out this week.

Here's Diane Keaton at Warren Beatty's AFI tribute, talking about a perfect (no exaggeration) scene in Reds--taking the mystique out of filmmaking and then putting it right back in, in just two minutes. She was exquisite. www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_RS...
