Trump on July 31 when asked about the ballroom: “It won’t interfere with the current building. It will be near it but not touching it, and pays total respect to the existing building, which I’m the biggest fan of. It’s my favorite. It’s my favorite place. I love it.”

Why is Apple, Microsoft, Lockheed Martin, Blackstone, Google, OpenAI, Amazon and others financing the destruction of the WH and desecration of the grounds, something that is infuriating to huge chunk of the American population? Do you hate your customers that much?

Only a few dozen weeks since "the president will demolish the entire east wing of the white house and replace it with an illegal ballroom paid for by outright bribes extracted from big companies and billionaires" would have made you sound like a lunatic

I used to be a one-issue 2028 voter, which issue being you will prosecute and jail all of them; I add an issue: If that ballroom carbuncle is completed, it must be razed.

The new pentagon press corps is a predictable clown car of loyalists.

Well, accountability had a good run.

Trump says cattle ranchers don’t understand the cattle industry as well as him.
Oh, the funding and expenditures will be completely auditable, just like a USDA-RD project. (Sarcasm)

Annals of unwise public boasting:
When asked by Glenn Beck whether his 120-day term wasn't about to expire, interim US Atty Bill Essayli, whose appointment in L.A. is now under legal challenge, told him: "We've got some tricks up our sleeves." (From Comey brief challenging Halligan's appointment.)

In the midst of a government shutdown, and in the face of fundamental challenges to the rule of law and to democratic accountability, the House of Representatives--the people's house, the heart of our democratic republic--hasn't cast a vote since Sep. 19. An extraordinary failure of responsibility.

JUST IN: Once again, Lindsey Halligan has to turn to out-of-state prosecutors, this time for the Letitia James case. Roger Keller is a Missouri-based prosecutor.

Two NC-based prosecutors are handling the Comey case for her as well. No one from EDVA in either case.

FYI :“Destruction of federal property is a federal crime. 18 U.S. Code § 1361 defines the crime as willfully injuring or committing any depredation against U.S. government property. If the damage exceeds $1k it is a felony with a fine, up to ten years in prison or both.”

Awaiting law enforcement.
