Speaking personally, I listen to most podcasts/non-music broadcasts/audiobooks (with the exception of BF, etc) at 1.2 or 1.5 speed anyway. It doesn't degrade the words, and - let's be honest - there's only so much time in a day!

Starting today with Classic Who.

Kiama Ora! We are in New Zealand (mostly the South Island) for the next 2 weeks. It's our 5th visit to this beautiful place, but only our second to the south.

"She is the dream actress that every director should have." —Gillian Armstrong

Rest in peace to the great Diane Keaton, fearless and unique, a dream actress indeed. 📷 Norman Seeff, Los Angeles, 1975
Black and white shot of Diane Keaton in a tank top with her hands behind her head. I like this photo for its simplicity; you can feel her personality.

can’t sleep because i’ve had a harrowing vision of a WW2 Muppet Movie where Kermit gets captured
A drawing of Kermit the Frog being pupeteered by a Nazi. The Nazi is making him shoot a gun and Kermit is yelling “I’m so sorry. This isn’t who I am!”

Terry doesn’t have an upper lip. So, when @crgn.bsky.social requested Salvador Dali for #PlasticeneHalloween, we knew we couldn’t just slap a moustache on Terry and call it a costume.

Instead, we created:

I'm now picturing Terry revealed like this as the killer in ever horror movie - and it works so well!

Fun music game.

Take two songs with the same name and post your combined score out of 10. How high can you get?

No covers/no triples (e.g. Power of Love)

My first effort, which i think is hard to beat...

Zombie (Fela Kuti) 10/10
Zombie (The Cranberries) 7/10

Total score: 17

Here’s a primer on ‘primer.’

It’s pronounced ‘PRIMM-er’ if you mean “a small book” or “a short informative piece of writing.”

It’s pronounced ‘PRY-mer’ if you mean “an initial coat of paint.”
