We’ve traveled the Oxford, booked another NB holiday in 2025, and are are having a 57’ NB built to retire on!

The area directly south of Bristol Bridge was once meadowlands owned by the 12th century Knights Templar church in the area. For many centuries it was referred to as “Templars’ Meadow” and it is from this that modern-day Temple Meads train station derives its name.

look good there’, and, ‘can the kitchen counter be longer?’ Then yes we are absolutely doing it ourselves 🤪

We’re very lucky to be working with Smithwood, an amazing boat builder located at Crick. My wife doesn’t trust me with power tools 🤨

Funny you say that, we asked for another room and our builder said we’d need to go bigger for it. But we decide against it.

Well done navigating that length, seen a few during our time cruising the canals and was always impressed with how well they were handled.

58’!!! it’s only two of us and we don’t feel comfortable going any longer.

Interestingly, one of the features of this Tim Tyler shell is the stern ramps up toward the back, raising the steerer higher to see over the rest of the boat. The wife LOVES this!

Steel! Some boat builders use imported steel, Tim Tyler uses on British Steel which has a reputation of being of a higher quality. Works out to 15 tonnes of home on the water (or thereabouts)

As for when we’ll call it home, not soon enough!!!!

We just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary, and soon our 21st anniversary of being ‘us’.

Our wedding in Santorini, Greece set the tone for our life together. Never worrying if we had the newest car or biggest house, instead exploring this incredible world we live in, collecting memories!

Being an island in the middle of a tropical ocean, surrounded by water keeps things remarkably stable.We are at the tail end of our dry season, tropical winter, 25° overnight 28° - 29° during day, howling wind is downside. Water temp 26-27°. In about 4 weeks it will be perfect 26°-30° gentle breeze.
