Yes, pine cones can act as natural barometers to predict rain because their scales open in dry, sunny weather and close in humid conditions or when rain is approaching. This is a natural mechanism to help with seed dispersal; cones open to allow wind to carry seeds when it's dry.

This will be the hill I die on, “porn addiction” is not real, that phrase specifically is used as a dog whistle and is backed only by pseudoscience which has been created by right wing fascist organisations with the intention to demonise minorities. It is not real, actual science proves it isn’t.

Snorkeling time. We tried finding the turtles but I got spooked seeing the deeper part of the sea floor without corals or any sign of life lol. Plus visibility was low so no turtle sighting. We'll try again tomorrow. @magicsherep.bsky.social
