I am a lady. I have been using tampons for over 30yrs. Surely they're all vegan? I can't see how they wouldn't be, unless they were real wool?

Unless tampons aren't vegan because they eat blood?

I am a 45yr old woman with qualifications and a good job... so why is it so hard to get a hot shower? My shower was broken, replaced, and now broken again. Stayed in a hotel and they didn't have hot water. How is it so hard in 2025?

I have genuinely never understood this film. I've watched it a few times, and some of the cinematography is great, but I just don't get King's stories. I love horror films, but there is just something I can't get. Its just an angry bloke...

I was all against updating problematic words in books for new audiences, until I listened to HP Lovecraft on Audible... I think its ok to change a cat's name!

You cannot ban books. You can try, but once a book has been written it will find a way to be read. We can take them off syllabuses, which have been continuously changing for ever, but we can't stop people reading. Or retelling the stories...

Of all the things I feared about the future I never, in a million years, ever thought I'd see people change their minds about Nazis being the baddies. They were the handy villain in films and stories because no one would feel sorry for the Nazis... yet here we are!

If your wife was suffering stress or burnout or depression or some other dysfunction, I'm sure she'd be delighted if you just ignored any signs and didn't do anything to support her or look at why.

Its not different to her sleeping more/less, putting on/losing weight, complaining of headaches, crying a lot. It would work the other way round if you went off it.

Lots of men assume women use sex as reward/punishment. Lots of men just have an affair. But it can be an indicator of something else.

Still missing it... its not a complaint. If your wife's behaviour changes would you not enquire why? Like, 'hey sweetie! I've noticed you've not been in the mood much lately. Is there any specific reason? Anything I can do?' No one is suggesting you'd love a partner less if they don't want sex.

Obviously I replace it with pneumonia in real life....

I just cannot cope with syrup and fried bacon. Are they eating dessert or breakfast? As a nation who regularly ate curry, kedgeree, devilled kidneys etc. for breakfast, pancakes and syrup with eggs and sausage is absolutely bizarre.

I did enjoy sausage biscuits though... despite the obvious lie!

Ok so, you're so spectacularly missing the point by attempting to virtue signal. You absolutely support consent, but this is not about singular instances, but a long term change in interest that may indicate wider problem.

Email addresses as email addresses may not be case sensitive, but when used as a username to sign in to various platforms and apps they absolutely can be. And that this isn't consistent causes a great amount of frustration.

I struggle sometimes because that what this guy is doing is bad is a given. When you want to discuss a deeper aspect it often comes across as not agreeing that its bad. Its awful. Women want a partner. Just he nice to them.

But these ideas have come from somewhere, and that is worthy of analysis.

And if your wife's behaviour changes - she stops doing things she used to enjoy - you don't even consider why? You just hear her no and ignore anything else? Thats not very supportive.

I remember 'drop scones' as a kid but they seem to have disappeared. I think that had buttermilk in(?) or some kind of soda, but they looked like an American pancake and were eaten like cake or normal scones. Might be a Scotch Pancake? I know I liked them...

Can someone please explain to my Mum that this is why I'm struggling to find work?

*FIFTEEN THOUSAND JOBS LOST*.
If this were in a sector in which the PM could go and do a photoshoot looking like One Of The People, we’d have had a government intervention by now.

It really is impeccably timed, even if by accident.

I have never been one for historical drama, but loved Wolf Hall. Its so evocative and calm and gentle and brutal. I was sad when it finished as I missed 'being there' in that atmosphere.

I had a blind hamster. We didn't realise she was blind until my Mum rearranged all the furniture and she ran headlong into everything. Cue my Dad putting padding around the bottom of all the chair and table legs until she had learned the new positions...

I remember musing on 'integration' and alleged lack thereof after standing in a shop with two ladies in hijab who were chatting. 'Look at that! Mince Pies!' 'We've not had Hallowe'en yet'.

The funniest thing someone could do politicly currently is run as a Reform candidate and defect to Labour or Greens instantly

Thank you so much! I had reason to be involved in merch t-shirts and fought so hard to get anyone to understand that women above a size 10 are not the same shape as a man... fell on deaf ears! I want to be a fan, not frumpy!

but won't have learned a thing! He was even using it to generate possible research questions for a dissertation. All the value is in the wrong place.

And the greatest irony of all? The module was on climate change and its risks to construction...

students create mnemonics, colour codes, copy facts over and over, put post-its in the toilet, create songs and rhymes etc. Its a whole physical process, not a writing challenge.

He was only cheating himself. He will have all these beautiful documents full of complex, impressive long words
