Looking forward to returning to HarperCollins' A Christie for Christmas event on 20 November. I'll be chairing an event about murder mysteries on page and screen with Ben Miller and @chrischibnall.bsky.social. A brilliant selection of guests - tickets on sale now! #AgathaChristie

That looks like a press book, distributed to newspapers, reviewers, etc. They often include details about tie-in promotions and merchandise/publications and would sometimes come with high quality photos to be used in promo articles. Many include basic interviews that can be reproduced as a feature.

Enough time has passed that Don't Shut Me Down can confidently be declared my favourite ABBA song
markaldridge.info
Absolutely! I did contact WB (which now has the rights) suggesting a release many years ago - it took them nearly a year to email me a PDF letter(!) basically saying they weren't interested! I have showed clips at a couple of events but that's as far as I dared go...

Yes, I've had a copy for a long time but wasn't at liberty to release it! I first saw it back in 2014 at the Library of Congress, which also has a copy.

The British Podcast Awards featured a strange “glitch” that everyone found amusing; but has interesting implications. Most of the winners were upstairs in the cheap balcony seats, meaning there was a few minutes’ delay on almost EVERY award as the winners went down the back stairs to the stage. >>

Is there any logic to which 'new' songs you see at ABBA Voyage, with this year's setlist changes? Do they really alternate Take A Chance on Me and Super Trouper, and if so is it predictable? (I love Take a Chance on Me but am desperate to catch Super Trouper!). Think I'm due a return...

What a treat for Angela Lansbury's centenary! 😍

Paging @markaldridge.info … Angela Lansbury at the NFT (from 1973) coming up on BBC Four on Thursday 16 October (following another screening of The Mirror Crack’d). It says BBC Two in the link since that’s where it was originally broadcast 52 years ago. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Waited SO LONG for this, my favourite Avengers era (yes it is, honestly) to arrive in ANY format better than the appalling old transfers on DVD. And we get 4K! 😍

Stand clear! THE NEW AVENGERS are back like you've never seen them before. From November, the original hit tv series starring Patrick Macnee, Gareth Hunt and Joanna Lumley returns in 4K UHD & Blu-ray for the first time in 🇬🇧, 🇩🇪 and 🇫🇷.

Find out the answers to such questions as: what connects Help by the Beatles and Agatha Christie? Truman Capote and Third Girl? Mark Rothko and Tesco? 😂💃🏻

I listened to this while out for a long walk yesterday and had to imagine the excitingly gaudy visuals, though apparently there’s a new-fangled on-screen in-colour version (but, being the Sixties, only 0.3% of viewers can watch it)

Roughly yeah. Eastman remembers The Adventure of Johnnie Waverly being filmed first but other sources suggest Clapham Cook. The scripts are numbered in a different order but IIRC most of the rest was shot in order

We made the front page of the newspaper! The mystery of the curious headline is explained on page 4. And there's a double page spread of photos inside, so see if you recognise anyone...

Thank you to Torbay Weekly and Ben Tisdale for all of the support.

It's complicated! The selection of stories was taken from what Rosalind would allow for the first season (eg nothing from Poirot Investigates, a mix of sidekicks) incorporating a good mixture of crimes (theft/kidnap/murder etc). The specific order was mainly down to the producer, Brian Eastman.
