34 people killed in 50 days. Their guilt or innocence unknown, for an alleged crime that doesn't carry a death sentence. That's a lot of death.

If the National Guard is really in D.C. to protect federal
property, they should probably have been at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. two days ago

Notice how it’s always, “the Bible must inform our laws!” until it comes to the +2,000 verses in the Bible that discuss the generous use of wealth and possessions in a way that prioritizes the needs of the poor, this sick, the stranger, the vulnerable, and the oppressed.
I reject that wholeheartedly. I live in the white working class and most of them shun the nazis who live among us. They’re outliers, not representative of the whole group.
I would argue that the left is now the former center and this argument is to pull us even further to the right. Hell naw.
Then again, the alternative was worse. Dr. Oz would have been a nightmare. Plus I’m convinced that Fetterman’s stroke changed his personality in ways nobody could foresee. He wasn’t that guy 10-15 years ago.

New ICE recruiting methods have resulted in half of this group of absolute winners failing AN OPEN BOOK TEST
I own a building that is NOT designated historic but is in a historic district and I couldn’t put in a wheelchair ramp—to code—without all kinds of crap.

If Congress does not act, nearly 22 million Americans will see their health insurance premiums more than DOUBLE on average.

Democrats want to lower those costs.

Republicans shut down the entire government instead of coming to the table to prevent this crisis.

I think we need to see the WH ballroom project as a pacifier for Trump. His handlers want him distracted so he doesn’t get involved in the shutdown or spout off about Epstein.

He’s promising bombing runs on land-based targets. This is horrific.

As a long-time member I’m sick and enraged that the National Trust has only just raised its head via a strongly worded letter. Where are the other agencies charged with protecting these assets?
Oh yeah, those agencies have been gutted. No wonder he gets away with gold bricabrac in the Oval Office.
This is it. I’m convinced that, in addition to being in a cult, a lot of his supporters have Stockholm Syndrome. They love the person who controls them and keeps them captive.
“The last 4-5 numbers don’t match?” Like WTF? My plate only has 6 or 7 digits. How do you get this wrong?
I just don’t trust him. He’s a Blackwater alum. How many Dems who later switch parties do we have to elect before we get their strategy?
It’s always projection. This is what they do, so it must be common practice, right? Right?

Does seem like there’s a non-zero chance that the shutdown never really ends and that Congress has already abolished itself.
I find it amazing too that Republicans’ boycott of Washington isn’t the biggest story of them all.

The shutdown can’t end if they refuse to show up for work.
So what’s happening to that debris? Has anyone checked for asbestos or other pollutants? This can’t be good for the environment.
