I mean, it's even in the title. Henry James's "Turn of the Screw" is a title that doesn't speak to a wider audience about the stories focus. "The Innocents" is a play on words having us zero in on both child-like innocence as well as the innocence of virtue.

The uncomfortable relationship between Miles and Ms Giddens is supposed to make you uncomfortable and lead you to figure out where Miles learned this behavior from (or if you only look at it as a literal possession film, it tells you the type of awful man Quint is).

A dark eerie atmosphere and creepy children are the focus of the film, but the possession of the children by Ms Jessel and Peter Quint is both literal and metaphorical, which is what leads to the ambiguous ending of whether the ghosts were actually there, or just looming pasts that traumatized them

Art advice:

Never fall for buying those marker packs on the internet. Just, any time of marker. You will drop the money on them, maybe love them and use them all the time, then one will die. And your only choice to replace it, will be to buy a brand new pack of markers.

I was so exhausted last night that I was falling asleep around 8:30, and maybe got to sleep around 9. Then around midnight a random cars horn alarm started going off. It continued to go off every few minutes until 4 am, when I think someone finally got sick of it and disabled the horn.
