I played Sticker Star almost exclusively commuting to and from a really crappy job. I wouldn't say it was great or anything, but having that as a motivator definitely helped.

Like most people I only discovered these games when I found the cutscenes on YouTube in the 00's/10's. Absolutely baffling bit of media, but I'll always wonder about the parallel world where these games were successful and this would be the direction the series took.
