I'll say it again, Art is communication.

"Create for yourself" really means "Create art that communicates who you are." And one sided communication feels terrible. Commenting on peoples art/creations can be scary, I get it. But COMMENT. COMMUNICATE. We want to hear it. I want to hear it.

I cannot tell you how disheartening this is. If you enjoy something you read/see please say it. The author/artist will love it. Hell, I’ve had people tell me I made their whole month from leaving a comment. I severely dislike this “consume and move on” behavior. It’s so destructive.
