I think this is definitely normal, when you have a change in circumstances like losing a beloved pet your brain eventually starts working to try and get you accustomed to the new normal so that you’re not in a constant state of ‘what the fuck?!’, but obviously any memories and reminders will still

I see pieces like this a lot, often w/ a spin of lamenting cultural degeneration, but reading is a LABOR issue, it’s declined because so many people are working overtime or two jobs & employers expect after hours work. France has Earth’s highest reading rate b/c long lunch breaks & labor protections

I visited the apartment building ICE raided on Tuesday today. Story to come, but you can walk right in. Half of the apartments have no doors on them. Children's stuff abandoned in some flats. *Citizen* residents told me they were arrested and held for hours in zipties. This is America
