spike, you are spicy, but coriander is amusing!
dear The Two Goldfinches Having Some sort of chase/battle in my yard: i am trying to edit this and y'all are creating a ruckus. i mean the leaf blowers down the street are bad enough but y'all are stirring up all the rest of the birds in the area, wtf

(this is what i get for working on the porch)
any bagpipers out there that can help a friend?

(olli gave me my bsky invite way back in the olden days when you needed an invite... let's get him a sad bagpipe!)
I need your help! Need to find me a bagpiper who would record the "sad trombone" (so basically any four notes descending chromatic) on their instrument for me....please reskeet :D
virgil the cat, who always gets his nightly treats between 7 and 8 pm, is SUPER angry with me lately as it's now getting dark out long before that appointed hour. this is the face of discontent.
1980's mittens is also cringing and reblogging this in 2025
So they didn’t like the ad. Let’s just post Reagan’s 5 min speech against tariffs as it appears on YouTube.

Over and over. On all platforms (some of y’all are still on X).

sending a bunch of Everyone Staying Healthy thoughts to you! i hope your mom is okay! D:
super excited i found my Very Loud Whistle i used to use when i was a kayak instructor. i look forward to getting to use it again in a non-kayak-related setting.
i'm supposed to be editing the thing, but instead i'm just paralyzed with horror at the fact that nobody with the power to do so is stopping... like, *all of this*

THERE ARE PEOPLE *RIGHT THERE* WHO CAN JUST END ALL OF THIS RIGHT NOW! AND THEY AREN'T DOING THAT! WTF!!!
i would like to not live in a constant state of rage

i need there to be consequences for all of this

major consequences

my cupcakes are staring at me

also while i'm complaining about truly stupid things, i think "unrepentantly having a nazi tattoo" is the same caliber offense as "being prominently featured in the epstein files" as a disqualifying personal trait.

why is this even up for debate?
i think we collectively need to start referring to "smart" products (like the beds that cook you when the internet acts funny) as stupid products. because that truly sounds completely stupid to me. your product isn't smart enough to keep working without big brother giving it constant instructions.
exactly :'D

(the cupcakes are in the oven, and i am Disappointed the box mix now only makes 20 normal size cupcakes >.>)
*sleepy 1980's tv commercial parody voice* time to make the cupcakes

(yes i am not awake enough to recognize how stupid this post is AND i'm gonna go operate an electric mixer and an oven. spare a hopeful thought for the state of my kitchen)
counterpoint: everything goes through the wh because there's no walls

stiff breezes, tumbleweeds, dust storms, garbage... just goes right through. raccoons just amble through the halls
anyone got a list of every company who financed or participated in any way in the desecration of the white house? because i would like to dedicate myself to ensuring that none of them are solvent by the end of this term. i would like every person responsible for this to be shamed out of society.
i am looking at this bird, and fully believe this bird is also looking at me. we are in a staring contest now.

it's so strange, knowing random strangers might stumble across it and just sort of passively read about it, like "oh that's interesting, next" the way i do to most wiki pages. it's surreal :'D
we wanted to repaint it a slightly different color, and it took like three years of back and forth negotiations before the historical people actually let us do it. we weren't allowed to do ANYTHING to the place without An Entire Rigamarole about it all. this is absolutely INSANE levels of wtf
:D

yeah my old house was built by a person of historical note (without doxxing myself, the house has a wikipedia page, i have just learned, which is a strange thing to learn about a place i used to just think of as home...)
