There is that tension between characters existing as their own people and being the plot device for a protagonist. And it's difficult to tread.

However the character does end up being just a plot device, to walk out of the series as soon as the heroine or hero realizes who he really loves.
But then, many characters are just plot devices. Seducers, wise old women, dragons, dead children.

There are also people who love the trope--it persists for a reason. It originally allows the protagonist to understand why their one true love is the one for them, by having this new person as a temptation, foil, etc.

This is just my personal opinion, but I don't think a character pulling a seduction gambit negates the badassery she did in the previous issue. It's just a tool in her arsenal.

That being said, I can see why ppl are tired of what is a very old soap and romance serial trope.

It's certainly been a tried and true plotline in every soap I've watched with my mother for decades.
Ultimately there is a "I'll always be a third wheel with your memory of her" or "You can't stop thinking of her (angrily)!

The mechanism by which dogs get enlarged hearts from the diets is still not fully understood. Lead poisoning in dogs is usually neurological signs, nausea, etc

I see about 2 younger dogs a year at the vet clinic I work at with heart disease and damage from grain free diets

We tell everyone with a new dog to not do these diets. They are NOT safe to give.

This is a common trope in my mother's soap operas: seductive, enticing love interest shows up to get the just-dumped man or woman in their grasp, but it just highlights how much the protagonist is still in love with their soulmate.

His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds.

It's a fake book cover for Emerie from the Bad Batch called "Kaminoan Secrets". Vaguely VC Andrews style, with the simple symbolic fence in the foreground, and Kamino all raining in the background, and cursive font. Emerie's face is shown. This is not great art just generic photoshop kinda stuff.
