We don’t need any words more than “lying,” “liars,” and “lies.”
We have run out of ways to describe their gaslighting and projection

The best part about the school voucher scam? Private religious schools use vouchers to recruit athletes.

They are defunding public schools to make their football teams better…
Me every Fall, but I’m only recently dabbling in wearing makeup outside of major holidays (i.e., Halloween).
this open enrollment season is my joker origin story.

Just a reminder: millions of people who live in “red” states didn’t vote for any of this shit.
No fall break or spring break or summer break or surprise movie days doesn’t help either.
I think one of the reasons adulthood sucks is we don’t celebrate achievements. No graduation, few milestones. So you gotta enjoy the little stuff.

So I’m taking my spouse roses & his favorite sweet treat tonight when I pick him up at the airport from his work conference where he presented. ❤️

There's no public list of polling places, so we had to make a public records request for a list of polling places & contact election officials in all 18 counties involved in Tuesday's special elections to verify changes.

NEW: 12 Mississippi polling places have moved and 4 have been closed ahead of the Nov. 4 legislative special elections, an MFP investigation finds.

Counties also have incorrect addresses in the state system for 11 polling places, risking sending some voters to the wrong location.

I HAVE BEEN YELLING ABOUT USING SOLAR PANELS TO SHADE PARKING LOTS IN MISSISSIPPI FOR MORE THAN A DECADE!!
Meanwhile, in South Korea: "Starting at the end of November, public parking lots with more than 80 spaces will be required to install solar power generation facilities. This obligation applies not only to newly constructed parking lots but also to existing ones."

When it was finished in 1928, the temple theater in Meridian, Mississippi, had the second largest stage in the United States, second only to the Roxy in NYC. The population was around 30k people then, almost the same as it is now.
The acoustics in here are incredible, by the way.
The Temple is awesome. Across the board, Meridian puts out the best vibes. It’s what I miss most about living there.

Nothing demonstrates performative nature of "sincerely-held religious convictions" of MS Republicans than their refusal to publicly demand MS Gov Tate Reeves @ least TRY to mitigate impact of loss of SNAP here in the poorest state.

Why won't they?
And why won't MS media outlets start asking?
Y’ALL. (If you know me, you know I don’t casually use “y’all.”).

Y’ALL.

@realgdt.bsky.social ’s Frankenstein is AWESOME. One of my all time favorite books, and he’s done it better than anyone since Mary Shelly herself. The storytelling, the acting, the costuming & design…

Y’ALL.

IT’S AWESOME.
The most accurate post in this entire thread. I will not be taking any questions, thank you.
And also…who cares? Ok, so she’s not his “aunt-aunt.” Is he lying about his net worth? His sources of income? Releasing his taxes? Having a plan? Accusations of non-consensual sex? Felony convictions? Whether he’s a nazi fanboy? What’s next? He’s lying about flossing daily? Give me a fucking break.

i think if you ride public transit enough you learn that most weird behavior is not dangerous, and conversely i think driving a car teaches you that everyone is trying to kill you at all times
I was an adult before I learned that some of my “aunts” and “uncles” were actually second or third (?) cousins. 🤷🏻‍♀️
My mom’s high school best friend, 3 of my mom’s sister’s h.s. best friends (she’s now married to one), their brother’s h.s. best friend, and our neighbor lady whose daughter was several years older than us. I may not even remember their last names, but they’re all still “Aunt” or “Uncle” So-and-So.
Hi. 👋🏻 Middle-aged white woman who grew up in Mississippi with numerous people I and my sister called “Aunt” or “Uncle” despite having no blood or marital relation to them.
Sorry I refuse to entertain the complete non-existent world where white people don’t know that countless cultures, including some of their own but certainly diasporic racialized ones, call their mom’s cousin’s friend’s sister they grew up with “cousin” and call close women elders “aunt/auntie”

I'm sure most of my followers know about the magical duel between Alan Moore and Grant Morrison (boring, mostly involves them claiming their comics are magic "hypersigils" which is a REALLY fun word) SO let me introduce you to a wizard duel that took place in a secret military program in the 1970s.

I know other media outlets around the country are running with "diseased monkeys with COVID, herpes and hepatitis are loose in Mississippi!"

And yes, it makes great clickbait. Those posts have thousands of RTs.

But it's just not accurate. Our factual report by @nickjudin.bsky.social:
