Just left our third film of the day, which means calling a wrap on my first week at Vancouver International Film Festival!

Put a review of everything I watched up on this list - some new All Time Faves, a bunch of interesting mids, and fortunately only a *few* whiffs.

dude the amount of scam phonecalls I've gotten from ontario numbers aimed at scaring chinese-speaking migrants into handing over personal details has gotten Extremely Silly in the last 2 weeks.

i didn't play the first one, but the Industria demo feeling very "SOMA/Amnesia but with more player agency and fewer outright scares" is *interesting* in a way I'm very curious about, even if I'm not all the way there with it yet.

Got pointed towards Industria 2 by a friend last night almost entirely on the basis of it being a game whose entire visual foundation seems to rest on Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and like.

i have a crate of old OXM issues from the 2000s at my parents' that I mostly picked up for demos, but any time I've gone back through them it is *extremely* clear when a review is being written one-handed.
