My feeling was they wanted a piece of the action after they were cut out, so that's my guess too.

you know what WOULD have Portland on fire?

Zenith Energy's so-called 'renewable' fuels.

(like literally the rivers themselves on fire)

Yesterday ICE brutally beat members of the Unpresidented Brass band and broke their instruments. A clarinetest was dragged away and as far as I've heard is still missing.

Based on driving Guthrie's MR2 Spyder, I've developed a theory about why old men like roadsters - with the top down, a dignified ingress/egress is totally doable, with the top up it's a struggle. Once you're in there, the mid engine layout does make it roomy inside, with no huge trans tunnel.

That can double as a trellis in the summer!

Leaf, because I couldn't remember if it had a rear charge door where the gas filler is.

Sir Raphanus, High Sheriff of Scrote
A wrinkly scrotum shaped radish with a Thai pepper wedged between it and a small lower radish bulb forming on it's taproot so it looks like it's holding a sword. Photographed on a striped wood cutting board.

What The Hell Is Going On, a thread:

I’ve seen some thinkpieces and posts about Portland protests that fail to understand the long-term hyperspecificity of Portland culture/humor, and frame it as a sort of shitposting meme-pilled ironic thing. Which is wrong.

So I’m gonna give you my breakdown.

Portland is good at antifascism because we have always had to fight against homegrown fascists. Let's not forget that, or sugar-coat it.

I know what 15 y.o. me thinks. So much of the tech developed for that car ended up in other 911s and eventually a lot of pedestrian modern cars. I was kinda meh on the Countach and other "poster" cars of the era, but the 959 definitely turned my crank.

I guess they spent a ton of money developing their ultimate Group B car and then it was for naught, so maybe they got discouraged. Ofc since then various builders and now Porsche itself keep vying to build the world's most expensive Baja Bug.
ncglasgow.bsky.social
Did they do that when Group B was banned?

I know it has its retrospective detractors, but it's hard to overstate how excited I was about the Porsche 959 when I, having recently graduated driver's ed at age 15, got this issue of R&T in the mail.
Screenshot from my profile showing I have 959 followers. Road & Track Magazine July 1986 cover featuring a silver Porsche 959 photographed from behind. Above it in yellow is "WORLD'S FASTEST EXOTIC Driving Porsche's 200-mph Super Car.
