I think this is on the nose. When we say "listen to Black people" we mean "give the same weight and consideration to what Black people say as you would to a white person talking about their view & experience, instead of treating us like ignorant, naive, or unreliable narrators of our own lives".
I think when Black folks say it, it means something very different from when White folks do. In the former we usually mean "don't discount Black experiences as untrue or inaccurate" and in the latter... yeah. It's magical negro thinking.

A thought today to reply-guys around Black folks like Jamelle and Tressie: I truly believe some of it grows out of a certain subset of White people who heard "listen to Black people" and so began treating platformed Black folks as gurus, and every observation shared as a judgment on their lives.

I don't think it's coincidental that there is a massive push to elevate AI at the same time that there is a massive push to devalue human lives. Poverty is created through economic choices that benefit the rich, and the poor are being treated like they are disposable, replaceable with machines.

It's not going to happen, and begging isn't going to make it happen. Musk killed Twitter, X sucks, it's less cool than Facebook and less useful than LinkedIn. Too bad but they can't unring the bell. The social media giants are collapsing, and nothing's going to stop it.

Without a town center, suburbs like this, built for short-term profit, have low livability and are all but death traps for seniors. They are highly prone to abandonment when jobs in nearby urban enters move or dry up, because they have no business centers of their own to keep them alive.
It's lame how US developers will build discrete new neighborhoods like this without a little town center. I think to most people, a little hub with a coffee shop, barber shop, post office, and/or convenience store would be a real amenity.
