Criminalizing Homelessness Can Lead to More Crime
As cities step up their enforcement efforts in the wake of a Supreme Court ruling, they should consider both the financial costs and the public safety ramifications of treating homelessness as a crime...

Many of us have been saying this for years:

We don't care who's named in an Epstein investigation. We don't care if they're Democrats. We don't care if it's Clinton or Obama or Biden.

We want every pedophile brought to justice.

Why can't Trump supporters say that about him?

Y’all want division to be THE problem because you don’t want to deal with the racists. Specifically the ones you know, love, and admire. Especially the one in your own heart. Unfortunately, that commitment to an only sometimes soothing delusion is powerful enough to break a nation.

You know, the thing about powerful people getting away with anything they want to do, no matter how vile, for generations is that they don't even try to protect themselves because they assume being part of the rich and powerful network will protect them. And it does, until all of a sudden it breaks.

Rent or cash assistance is the single most effective intervention to get and keep people housed. In a similar experiment in California, people who were given $1000/mo for 2 years overwhelmingly used it to pay rent, go to rehab, get their teeth fixed, go to school, even to start small businesses.
Homeless Oregon youth got $1,000/month for 2 years. Most found housing after. Direct cash assistance from the state to 120 young Oregonians for housing worked, according to results of pilot program that concluded last year, @miamaldonado.bsky.social reports oregoncapitalchronicle.com/2026/01/30/h...

Oh, this fucking guy. Would it surprise you to learn this isn't the only person who has experienced this sort of behavior from mike? More like pretty bad, mike, pretty bad.

Do what you want, but I choose to stay away from this guy. He's gonna end up hurting more people, sorry not sorry.
What this vague apology is about is sexually harassing me telling me that he wants to fly over to me and fuck me until we both cant stand. And, of course, nothing says "im sorry" like blocking only the accounts of the person you harassed. But tell me again how you "learned so much", Mike.

Hey if you live in the greater Seattle area and you approve of Mayor Wilson's plan to ban ICE from using city property, vote Yes in the Komo poll. It's being flooded by right-wing bots.

I really want people to check in with the organizations that have been pushing back on surveillance for 10+ years.

Just to be blunt, there are a lot of folks who realized yesterday that surveillance is bad and many are suggesting well-intentioned but misguided strategies for fighting it

talk to us
“Agents can identify people on the street through facial recognition, trace their movements through license-plate readers and, in some cases, use commercially available phone-location data to reconstruct daily routines and associations.” All surveillance tools people have pushed back on for ages…

Minneapolis is what you get when the white ladies go out and protest instead of going online and demanding that Black women go out and do it for them.

This is extremely consistent with the Right's anti-woke position of being anti-kindness, anti-empathy, anti-compassion, and anti-human.

Many of them call themselves Christians but they are, in a very literal sense, anti-Christ.

Big Protest is now the largest employer in the Unites States
CNN in Minneapolis: We are seeing thousands and thousands of people, we've been standing on the corner here for the past ten minutes. This this crowd has not let up. It's just continuous.

And then tomorrow I need to rewrite my methods for Aim 3 and send another email. It's *really* not that much. It's not.

I looked into Cities Church, which was protested for having an ICE agent as a pastor.

You already thought they were right-wing. But they're far worse than you thought.

They're ground zero for the "empathy is a sin" idea, among others.
