Maybe? I mean, the Declaration had a decent chance of getting him hanged.

But then again, it's not too hard to imagine the sort of person who might be willing to risk death for a principled stand, especially supported by his peers, but wouldn't risk poverty or loss of social status.

The impression I get is that in the primary, it was still plausible that Cuomo might remain a power player in NYC.

In the general, it's both clear he's lost his power, and also has stooped to ever lower lows.

I don't think anyone of significance on the Dem side has endorsed Cuomo?

(Case in point: I am a teacher. There is a fair amount of drudgery and bull**** involved in being a teacher. Nevertheless, I do actually believe that I am making the world a tiny bit better by teaching kids.)
