this would be the funniest possible world series, i really hope it happens

especially if anyone needs to go up a ladder

all of you are lacking in Original UtiliKilts and leading adventure motorcycle aftermarket equipment manufacturers

or the impact of the white veterans who supported them because they were brothers in arms!

i just have a feeling russ vought is about to do something stupid about $10,000 toilets, in a fight with hegseth, a man incapable of understanding that they're $10,000 because they work on submarines without flooding the ship

i have an intuitive feeling that liberals are about to get lockmart, general dynamics, and raytheon in the national divorce

imagine if you will a people who had so gorged themselves at the buffet of human creativity that they think there is nothing left to make, or to find, or to taste, or to hear, and consider whether such a people would act any differently than those claiming monoculture
tznkai.bsky.social
Relatedly, the bitching people do these days about a monoculture is absurd. You're telling me in an era of profound racial and religious diversity where everyone can communicate with anyone this side of the great firewall with the supercomputer in their pocket our culture is *more* mono?!

The overall progressive bent on here I think obscures to people how much we, like previous generations, are grouchy, nostalgic, and prone to seeing the environment around us changing as a sign of decline.

I want to know what specific online games Bashar al-Assad.

I want to kill Assad in Minecraft. Literally. Or whatever else he plays.

and the only reason i would be worse at press secretary is I'm allergic to cameras
noghiri.bsky.social
the fact that I'm pretty sure i could do any of the jobs in the Whitehouse with the exception of press secretary better than the trump appointees is bad, probably

i feel the start of a cold coming on, please just inject me with the Blade (1998) Garlic Solution

i was in group 1, and friends saying that stuff legitimately did help me end a toxic friendship with someone who at the end mostly just seemed to want me around as a punching bag

but crucially this only all works if you're even-handed about it and remember to also treat others as real people
noghiri.bsky.social
the self actualization things were things people who needed permission to treat themselves as real people here to treat, but people who don't treat others as real people took them and ran with them and used them as excuses to not treat others as real people
figgityfigs.bsky.social
I feel lots of things that felt like, were billed as, self-actualization read in retrospect as canaries in the coal mine for the fraying commitments we owe to each other as members of a society.

Relatedly, I recall a lot of "the joy of canceling plans" jokes and memes from the 2010s and now folks are talking about a loneliness epidemic, and, well...

for a brief and joyful moment all discourses on the app were eclipsed by baseball
noghiri.bsky.social
during the regular season they start the extra innings with a runner on 2nd but during the postseason we have tradball and these kinds of games become possible
noghiri.bsky.social
15 innings, man that's a lot of ball. the crowd must have been soaked in light beer by then
