Thank you. I've used it for rice, and I'll take a look at hummus.

So, do you have any good resources for recipes? I have one and I'm not sure what to do with it yet.

*sigh* that show is absolutely timeless!

Well, that's healthier than any idea I've had so far, so I'm stealing it.

That was gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your find.

TIL that for some people with irreparably damaged corneas, you can pull one of their teeth, drill a hole in it, install an artificial lens, sew it into their cheek (so tissue attaches), then pull it out and stick it in their damaged eye, and ... it works fine!?! www.nbcboston.com/news/health/...
Man, 34, is no longer blind after tooth is implanted in eye in 'crazy' surgery
Tooth-in-eye surgery sounds like science fiction, but it can help people with severely damaged corneas see again. A patient and his doctors describe what it's like.

I'm just an astronomer and not a legal philosopher, but I always kinda figured that one reason we *have* laws is to make sure we don't let someone's immediate emotions overwhelm actual justice.

Benefit. It's a crazy book! I was just about to re-read it. I'm glad someone else is giving it a try.

How do you say, "I told you so," but in Dog?

Also, is that supposed to be a picture of light fixtures? Who frames a photo like that? At least it makes them both look small.

This is one of the most beautiful things I have witnessed, the craft here is impeccable.

I'm constantly disappointed that I'm not paying some sort of war tax, because I'm pretty sure that WW III has already started. So, I try to help whenever I can.

Learning to only address the requested concerns is the hardest part! But being well-read and kind to animals will take any man a long way.

Also, hot women hate liars.

Yep. I've run into people I know at concerts, at the airport, at the theatre... It's just not rare.

I just went through the same process. So yes, it is possible to change peoples' minds over the internet. Thanks to you both!

I was really surprised that I liked this! The Jaq Chartier image was by far my favorite.

Pat of what was wonderful about "The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt" was that we did get to learn about his problems with exploding diarrhea. Since my brother and I both have bowel diseases, we felt like we still had a chance to be heroes, despite all that.

4. "WHAT did you just say?", roared my teacher.

"He must not have had a butthole. They told us everything he did when he was growing up and he never once went to the bathroom."

(I was somewhat serious; I knew he had a butthole but thought the biography was poor to have omitted his bathroom trips.)

I do meticulous research y'all (although come on, me being me, I've known about the Erfurt Latrine Disaster since I was a kid)

Didn’t think I could enjoy @scalzi.com ‘s “When the Moon Hits Your Eye” more - then a character referenced the Erfurt Latrine Disaster of 1184 and after thinking “surely not” I looked it up and OMG it’s real! The image of 60 nobles plunging into a cesspit is just what I needed 😏
