Why Are Your Poems so Dark?

Isn't the moon dark too, most of the time?

And doesn't the white page seem unfinished

without the dark stain of alphabets?

When God demanded light, he didn't banish darkness.

Instead he invented ebony and crows

and that small mole on your left cheekbone.

Or did you mean to ask "Why are you sad so often?"

Ask the moon. Ask what it has witnessed.

They say they want new things in fantasy, then authors from marginalized groups do new things, but they don't like that, they want the new thing to be like the old thing except new.

What they really want is a book to rewind time and make them young again, something no book or anything else can do.

of all the things to try and make "cozy," I don't think horror works. Or thrillers. The emotions those genres are meant to invoke are the opposite of cozy to me.

They all end up having a blast though Dom is put out that Riley seems to know whenever they're trying to force cards. Elias somehow wins 2 games but has no idea what's going on but is too scared to ask.

Fe wants to run a ttrpg or some really complicated board game (Mel secretly also wants that but is Too Cool for it). Celeste and Dom want to play card games (Celeste because her family taught her and Dom so they can cheat).

Quinn makes them compromise with Red Dragon Inn.

Any indie #ttrpg creators in the Toronto area down for an interview in the next couple of weeks? I've got a paper I'm still figuring out the parameters for (probably about creating and refining an indie ttrpg) and I need interviewees!

Alas, it does have to be in person, so no one outside the GTA.
