Nadia from London has an idea that sounds such fun you'll be booking a day out asap.
"I've always loved museums," she says,
"but they can be overwhelming for children. For decades now, I've done something called 'playing postcards'
We do
the museum backwards, visiting the gift shop first. Each child gets to choose three postcards. Then they take it in turns to find that particular artwork in the museum and give us a little information about the piece from the details on the postcard, or from any gallery plaque. At the end of this treasure-hunt-style activity, we vote for our favourite in the cafe."

Miss P only has two weeks of high school left. It's the end of an era and she and I are both a bit wibbly about it.
I just tracked down our year 9 first day of school photo. She was so wee! All excited and nervous in her brand new, slightly too-big uniform.

Do you think it's occurred to the Govt & Federated Farmers that farmers in other countries have lobby groups too, and this decision gives them an opportunity to lock us out of those markets? Maybe the regulatory impact statement will comment on this? 🙄

Yes, your brain would be mush even without the LC, so lots of grace is required for you in dealing with that as well any PEM impact from long covid.
Mr will also need to adjust his expectations.

Yes, that’s a wild defense. The man is in his 70s and has been in the workforce for more than 50 years - he’s not some wide eyed ingenue being led astray by dodgy political operators because he doesn’t understand how the world works.

Post thesis is so discombobulating. I remember thinking I had so much time now so why wasn’t I achieving miracles? But all I really wanted to do was sit around reading and drinking tea.
It’ll take you a minute to let go all that pressure.
And then there’s the whole LC thing to make even more hectic.

Methane makes up 48% of NZ's climate pollution. The Govt's grossly irresponsible announcement today that they will never have a price on methane, combined with their policies to increase the dairy herd, means that they have zero intention of meeting NZ Paris obligations.

This is such good advice for the post project crash, and also for people with chronic illness. I never try to do all the things any more. I just do one thing (no matter how small) every day and follow it up with lots of praise and treats. Changing my vibe from shame to support has been life changing

It’s been brought to my attention that it’s World Migratory Bird Day. I can think of no better excuse to share four of my best pictures of the undisputed king of migratory birds - the kuaka (bar-tailed godwit), which boasts the longest non-stop migration on the planet. Alaska-Aotearoa. 🪶🇳🇿
