What the hell is going on with the new New Zealand school curriculum, and what does it have to do with the Atlas Network? (No, really!)

Learning so many fantastic expressions from Cory Doctorow in this excellent episode such as "The pile-of-shit-this-big-must-have-a-pony-underneath-it school of investing". The rest is really the outrageous failure of competition regulation which has allowed monsters to go rogue and screw us all.
“Enshittification” is the word of the moment. It’s the reason Google is all ads and Amazon serves you crappy overpriced products. Cory Doctorow, who coined the term, joins @nndroid.bsky.social and @rafaelbehr.bsky.social to discuss how we can combat it ➡️ linktr.ee/ohgodwhatnowpod

Some of the information in this book excerpt is either distorted or flat out wrong.

According to the survey, 58% of journalists are women, not "two out of every three". The average journalist is 45.8 years old, and they are not "mostly aged in their 20s or 30s" newsroom.co.nz/2025/11/24/j...

Its a sh*tty solution to a non-problem that places the consumer increasingly at risk.

Every time the shocking, perplexing tactic of “giving money to people who need it” is tried, it turns out to work.

And yet people who have more money than they could ever need remain baffled.
An Oregon pilot program giving cash to homeless youths sees a staggering reduction in homelessness. The program gave participants $1,000 cash payments each month for two years, and at the end of the project's first phase, 91% of participants reported being in stable housing.

Welcome to being a woman.
Why do journalists have no apparent solidarity whatsoever? This rancid POS jabs his finger in a woman reporter's face and calls her "piggy" and none of the other journalists there says a word?
When asked if there was anything "incriminating" in Epstein's emails, Trump pointed a finger in a female reporter's face and snapped. 'Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.'
