No sudden rupture is now required for the far right to take power in this country. For what we're seeing is a steady normalisation of extremists by the Conservative and Labour Parties, BBC, Telegraph, Mail and others. A shift once considered unthinkable beings to look acceptable, even inevitable.🧵

Reading about the latest plan to bury the Hammersmith flyover in a tunnel. The second paragraph is gold, totally ignored by almost everyone even though it applies to 90% of new road building.

Interesting that the combined authorities of Manchester and Liverpool regions are coming up with a plan, whereas East Mids, Leeds and our side just don't care.

It really is very impressive up close. Hard to overstate what this will do for the area, the movement of people is obviously the main benefit, but aesthetically, it puts us on the map.

Nathan Gill is no fringe politician.

He was the leader of the Reform Party and before that UKIP in Wales.

A Brexit Party MEP.

A friend and ally of Nigel Farage, who in 2016 called him:

"terrific," and "as honest as the day is long."

This is a MASSIVE story

We have campaigned HARD on this since 2023, the first to do so, and we won't stop until it's done.

Young people deserve it, the economy needs it and gvt wants it.

Those trains are such a great example of how you end up with worse stuff by not spending proper money when you had the chance.

Has there ever, in the history of the world, been a project like this where they've delayed and delayed to save money and it's actually ended up cheaper?

Not a serious country.

Again, this is a memorial service.

The #libdems have sat by doing largely nothing for a year trying to come up with a winning strategy.

The strategy: Shall we just say Stop the Boats?

😂😂😂

Honestly, how have Corbyn and Sultana managed to destroy their party before it even has a name?! Almost impressive to be the most dysfunctional group among the current bunch.

Clearly not, as you can see in the Victoria Centre flats next door. If only someone had given that one some proper scrutiny and thought. But yes, let's spend four years not developing a site and keep the centre of our city stuck in the 1970s 👍

#Nottingham City Council are absolutely determined that our city will stay second rate for as long as possible.

It is like a cruel but accurate joke someone made up about the left: "Two Corbynites walk into a pub and fall out over the definition of Corbynism. One of them was Corbyn."

As I'm going round the country - I'm meeting people over and over again who are finding hope in the Green Party.

Brilliant that's also reflected in our rise in members & now in the consistent rise in the polls too.

The Green Party are on the rise. And not a moment too soon!
