My closed-captioning is stuck and I’m crying 🤣
Screencap of the Shohei Ohtani New Balance commercial and it appears that he is laughing maniacally while saying “I have a gun!” Spencer Steer holding both hands up and saying “I have a gun!” Stuart Fairchild whispering to 1B coach Colin Cowgill, “I have a gun!” Amed Rosario dancing and saying “I have a gun!”

It’s been a lazy day, which I needed.

Every year I ask for the same thing: the Reds to still be playing baseball on my birthday. They did get a *little* closer this year, at least

The Portland frogs are multiplying. I’m watching the livestream at katu.com/watch
Three green froggies and a skeleton frog! These are inflatable costumes and some of the frogs have little capes. They’re protesting on the other side of the street from ICE.

I was also confusing these movies. I went to look see if the French poster from Three Men and a Baby was online anywhere bc I was briefly in Paris when it was out and I found the poster extremely funny. But it was Look Who’s Talking instead.
French poster for Look Who’s Talking. The literal translation is Hello Mom, Here’s Baby. I thought this was hilarious in 1990. It’s still pretty funny.

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

That’s Phil Castellini’s music
It's not hard to imagine, once the winter fan fest circuit cranks up, a smaller-revenue owner taking cover behind the Dodgers' back-to-back, their dominance a handy tool to tell fans exactly why that can't happen here and why the home team's off-season was a dud. ("But please, get hype and buy some tickets!")

Upon further reflection I think the “child soldier” part of the title is the only problem. Maybe throw “USMC” after his name, like a modern-day Gomer Pyle.
