can someone in high school or college please explain to me the point of using AI? it can't just be to complete the assignment, cheating and plagiarism will earn you a 0. AI does not help you write. it limits your thinking and your writing suffers. your writing says nothing.

shit has me looking up the definitions of words and doubting my own understanding because of these nonsensical phrases!!! but but the human written sections are not hopeless, writing is a skill you practice. AI is hopeless.

and the writing is really really bad. contradictions they can't elaborate on, abstract and nonsense descriptions, overly magnificent language that reads like a marketing report, and obvious human grammatical errors that were only made by someone who is not a strong writer.

why did the professor tell these kids to please not use generative AI to write their papers and i'm getting papers almost entirely generated with AI? do they think we are stupid? we can tell they used AI because they start describing things that aren't there or omitting obvious elements of the work!

okay i'm really peeved about AI right now. i'm a TA for an undergrad art history course and grading visual analyses. if you're familiar with them, you'll know that they are literally the easiest possible paper to write. all you have to do it look at the work of art and describe it. that's it.
