In NYC they're rolling out a subway ad campaign for the "AI Friend" pendant and I have noticed every single one has been immediately defaced. It's kind of remarkable and says something about where the public is on this stuff.

Sometimes it is good when bipartisan consensus breaks down. Like with Israel, the consensus approval of mass incarceration has led us to a dead end. The good news is the experience of Chicago and cities like it in the last decade shows crime rates can come down even while incarceration rates fall.

Every time we see a video of someone being abducted, that's the end for us, usually. But it is only the beginning of the nightmare for the person ICE is abducting. Before they are deported they are subjected to ICE's mandatory program of dehumanization, abuse and neglect.

I don't. It is a joke. As a white person who has lived in Portland and considers himself an excellent dancer, I have every right to engage in self-deprecating humor since I belong to the group I'm making fun of. If any of them are black, I'm saying they're dancing well. Is that a problem to you?
