Fun fact about the Salvation Army: they use a form of substance use treatment called work therapy. Oh, and by treatment, I mean they have people who have been convicted of drug charges work for their stores & warehouses in exchange for room, board, around a $1 a week, and minimal actual therapy.

because not everyone wants to do so! as an artist i also understand the pressure to do things "perfect" the first time around...its like asking a sculpter to rig a model or a traditional to to digital. but whenever i do get a chance to see that raw exploration and pay them for it i am so happy!

i dont care if you colored my eyes "wrong" or drew "off model" i like seeing artists explore and have fun. plus as a dyslexic person i struggle to read refs in general lmao. i love when i get to comm an artist to draw something outside of their comfort zone! i always ask and give no major deadlines

i feel only my close friends like Epi and Jay would understand that era of online art...? but as an artist whenever i do make refs/commission others, i dont really care for alterations/adjustments anymore.

but as time went on, i started to care less about accuracy. my references shifted into explosive lore dumps rather than expectations to be checked off. but i think about those early wolf RP requests often! and how my first friends pressed me to both "do better" in a negative and positive sense!

when i first started drawing on the internet, a lot of my peers pressed me to make it one-to-one or "accurate" art. i dont think it was intended to hone my skill, but to make the work feel more personal/thoughtful? i then became obsessed with "on model" drawings
