So I have used this in a pinch, and I can 100% vouch for it.
It's not garbage food or forgotten orders, it's always fresh same-day food.
Most of the restaurants in my area make extra specifically for TGTG, and add coupons on full priced orders.

It's a great resource, and it cuts down on food waste.

It's one of those things where you have to sometimes use an evil because it's your best or only option. I'd compare it to disabled people who have to use amazon even during protest to get medical supplies on time. Go for it if you can because the internet can be a vital tool.

It annoys me when people say “they’re on SNAP but their hair and nails are done and they’ve got tattoos”. It’s extremely normal to do your own hair and buy press on nails, and tattoos literally last forever. What do tattoos someone got 10 years ago have to do with them needing to eat now
