What a bunch of BS. My first Trek as a child (the devil in the dark) I saw because my mom was watching it. And at 19, I became a Trekkie because of my roommate, yes, a woman. πŸ––
Describe a character in Greek mythology the way someone trying to defend a politician would.

Artemis: Of course she drives a Subaru, that’s the most sensible choice in that off-road forest she lives in.
Describe a character in Greek mythology the way someone trying to defend a politician would.

Zeus: alpha male.
Describe a character in Greek mythology the way someone trying to defend a politician would. I’ll start.

Arachne: of course the woke mind cannot comprehend somebody being proud of her work

No disrespect to Jim Henson but I don’t feel like there really are that many songs about rainbows and what’s on the other side

Things were better when computer was in room. Now everywhere is computer. This is bad. Computer should never have escaped room.
i don't want to hear your most boomer complaint. what's your most millennial complaint?
Now that I think about it and try to recall, I think Cypriots may actually be adding more of that n sound before ΞΊ which would definitely make it sound more like a g. But not Greeks. Unless we’re counting some remote local Greek dialects in which case all bets are off πŸ˜‚

Though some Greeks pronounce even a little bit of that n when they say Αγγλικά.
Happily! Maybe we should do a video call some time! I live in LA timezone! :)
Not sure what to tell ya. I’m a native Greek speaker of 49 years. All native Greeks I know (including myself), pronounce ΞΊ like in cooper. And Ξ³ΞΊ or Ξ³Ξ³ like in glory. Funnily enough, both sounds exist in the Greek word for English which is Αγγλικά (ah-glee-KAH). Close-ish to Anglican (minus the n).
I think you may be confusing ΞΊ with Ξ³ΞΊ. Γκ sounds like g and κ… well… like k. That’s how it sounds in modern Greek. Not sure about how it might have been pronounced differently in Ancient Greek, but then again nobody really truly knows that.
BTW in Modern Greek, the kappa in Katavasis (descent) is pronounced Kah, not Gha. The K sound is a clear sharp K.
I wore watches until my early twenties. Used to take them off during my summer holidays, which allowed me to one day notice I was somewhat less stressed while not having one on my wrist. That’s when I stopped wearing them entirely. Much less stress since then (though not zero, never zero 😬)
